Two teams of amateur antique collectors meet at an antiques fair to compete to make the largest profit from a three hundred pound budget. Once the contestants have done the shopping for their own items, the experts then take any leftover money and go shopping for more antiques which is 'bonus buys'. The teams then have to decide whether or not to take these items to auction.

Nigel welcomes people who have intriguing, often peculiar and extraordinary items they want to sell- anything from toys and furniture to musical instruments, and introduces them to an expert who provides them with some information about the object. Sellers then go to the ''Bidding room'' where they meet five dealers who have to bid against each other if they want to take home these incredible items.
Contestants must come up with answers that no-one else could think of in order to win the big cash prize. The questions have been put to a random sample of a hundred people beforehand, and the score out of 100 represents how many got the question right. Contestants not only have answer the questions correctly, but also guess which answers were most obscure to score the least points possible.
